The Aubrey Report looked at significant failings in breast surgery services highlighting why use of private services should be opposed. We have pointed out to the Health Minister why the use of private services by the NHS is a growing concern in a letter sent recently.
Wes Streeting has shown an alarming tendency to turn to the private sector, which can only place making profits first. We will continue to point out the folly of using private services uncritically and as an alternative to investment in the NHS, especially as private companies rely on NHS staff (after their years of specialist training – paid for in part by the NHS, not the private company).
